Paronella Park
Everyone has a dream. José Paronella’s dream became a reality. On five hectares beside Mena Creek Falls he built his castle, a picnic area by the falls, tennis courts, bridges, a tunnel, and wrapped it up in an amazing range of 7,500 tropical plants and trees. He even harnessed the waterfall for his electricity. Paronella Park opened to the public in 1935.
Today, visitors to the park marvel at the achievements of one man.

Step back in time and be amazed by the ingenuity and determination shown by one man with a dream. Paronella Park today is a celebration of the Paronella family's achievements, particularly those of it's founder, José Paronella. On arrival, our guests are taken through the many highlights of the Park on a 30 minute storytelling tour.NIGHT EXPERIENCE
The evening experience features flood lighting of many of the Park's highlights and culminates in an incredible sound and light display that will stay in your heart long after your visit.Mobility Restrictions
For guests with mobility restrictions.Paronella Park is set on 13 acres, on 2 different levels. The 2 levels are joined by a staircase with 47 steps.
There is a courtesy vehicle ( down a service road ), for guests to be able to utilise, if they cannot use the staircase. Guests would need to be able to get in and out of a 4WD vehicle to make use of the courtesy vehicle.Prams, Strollers and Carriers
The pathways at Paronella Park are predominantly concrete and gravel. People visiting with babies or small children should bring a carrier. If you don’t have a carrier, and wish to bring a stroller or pram : Some strollers/prams are suitable on the pathways. Large wheeled prams/strollers are easier to push around.
Prams/strollers with small wheels often get stuck in the gravel on some of the pathways.
Alongside the pathways, are small sets of steps throughout the park, so you may need to carry the stroller/pram up and down the smaller steps ( vehicle lift available to avoid the Grand Staircase )
