You will be collected from your Cairns, Palm Cove accommodation at 6.30 am, Port Douglas approx 7.45 am as we head due North and take in magnificent views of the Coral Sea as we head towards Port Douglas. Continuing North, we cross the mighty Daintree River and make our way through the ancient Daintree Rainforest. If we're lucky, we may even see a Cassowary. We'll go for a fabulous beach walk right on the edge of the rainforest!
Leaving Cape Tribulation behind, we’re now ready to tackle the iconic 4WD Bloomfield Track. Then, having "survived" the 4WD Bloomfield Track, you'll probably enjoy a "coldy" at the legendary 1875 Lions Den Hotel. Shortly after your Cairns To Cooktown 4WD Tour arrives in picturesque Cooktown, where we’ll buy you an old fashion pub lunch at the historic 1885 Cooktown Hotel, better known these days as The Top Pub.
Refreshed, we’ll now head to Australia’s best regional museum, Cooktown’s James Cook Museum, where we’ll pay your admission. A visit to Cooktown would not be complete without taking in the panoramic views from Grassy Hill Lookout, Captain James Cook's monument on the bank of the Endeavour River, another photo opportunity must.
Heading home via the inland outback route, we stop at the mysterious Black Mountains. Further South, we travel through the Palmer River Goldfields, where we’ll stop for a leg stretch.
It’s time to settle back and relax as we head home after your adventurous Cairns To Cooktown 4WD Tour.
