MID-ZOOM
The Mid-ZOOM course offers an easier level of difficulty and is suitable for familiarisation and initial training of equipment and heights before you head up onto the more challenging activities. It’s also great for younger kids. There’s plenty to keep your adrenaline pumping. The course runs 3m above the ground and has a range of elements including climbing walls, tunnels, a cargo net and swings. There’s even a zipline. Remember to look down as you make your way through the course – you’ll get a unique view of the Wildlife Dome, and you might even spot a scaly crocodile friend or two.

HI-ZOOM
The Hi-Zoom provides a greater level of difficulty for our more adventurous visitors! It consists of more complex crossings and ziplines, including 3 ziplines – one of which takes you directly over Goliath the crocodile. The course winds its way up through the Dome, with some elements almost 12m above ground level. You’ll meet lots of our birds as you make your way through the course – it’s a fantastic way to get up close with our parrots and other species. Oh, and don’t forget to smile as you zipline over Goliath. You’ll be able to purchase your photo at the end if you like – the perfect souvenir to take home.

DOME-CLIMB
The Dome Climb offers some of the best views of Cairns. As you walk around the external 60cm wide platform, you’ll see Cairns from all angles – out to the Trinity Inlet and Coral Sea, down towards Walsh’s Pyramid in Gordonvale, across to the mountains west of Cairns, and north to the beaches. It’s pretty special. You’ll be safely tethered to the rooftop with our SafeRoller belay system, allowing you to roam with both hands free – that means plenty of selfie and photo opportunities. After you head back inside, you’ll be treated to a birds-eye view of the Dome, before descending … either via the staircase, or the 13m PowerJump.

COMMANDO ROPE CLIMB
The Commando Rope Climb consists of a long thick climbing rope which is hung from the underside of the PowerJump platform (13 metres above the ground) and hangs down to the trampoline. Knots are tied along the rope with larger knots placed intermittently for rest points. Participants are harnessed into a belay system that is connected to the Power Fan above and start climbing the rope from the floor of the trampoline and aim to reach the top of PowerJump. If people fall, the belay system catches them and they gently descend as if doing the PowerJump.

PIRATE CLIMB
The Pirate Climb is a large cargo net which is attached to the base of PowerJump and falls to the trampoline below. Participants are harnessed into a belay system and the aim of this activity is to climb the net from the trampoline up to the PowerJump, and ring the ship’s bell at the top. Once you reach the top you can let go and the Power Jump system catch you and slow you down on your descent.

Please note requirements for ZOOM Activities

• Children MUST be over 20kg, 120cm tall, and aged over 6 years old.

• Hi-ZOOM, solo participants must be above 140cm tall, and participants between 120cm and 140cm must be accompanied by a participant above 160cm tall. Participants must have completed Mid-ZOOM before attempting Hi-ZOOM.

• Guests must confirm that to the best of their knowledge, that they are not pregnant or weigh over 120 kg and that they are not under the influence of alcohol or drugs or have certain medical conditions which will not permit them to participate in the Cairns ZOOM activities in a safe manner.

• All participants of ZOOM Activities need to wear Enclosed Shoes.
